I spent my early years living and working in Horsham, Sussex. Wanting to pursue a career in the creative fields I left school and took on a role as a junior graphic designer with Royal SunAlliance. This provided the basis for a move into website development 18 months later. I then relocated to London where I broadened my skills as a consultant for ETC, working for clients such as Norwich Union and Vodafone.
As is customary in this day and age, the travel bug bit and I took a year off to travel the world. Over the course of this year I saw some amazing countries: South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and North America and made lots of new friends along the way.
When I returned from traveling I felt it was the right time to move my creative and development skills into the New Media Industry where the marriage of creativity and technology push the boundaries of innovation. As a web developer for Dare I produced websites such as Barclays Football, the Woolworths Inspired range, and the localization of Sony Ericsson K750. In my own time I took on some freelance projects which allowed me the creative freedom to run with some of my own ideas. An example of this is the new free for all magazine, Good for Nothing Magazine
I take great pride in my work and the results it produces. Hand coding all my work minimises bugs and allows me to fine tune the code for better performance. I'm always looking for fresh and exciting ways to develop alongside progressive and avant-garde designs to feed my creativity. I get excited about creating beautiful accessible websites and spend way too many hours trawling the net looking for new quirky cutting edge sites.
Outside of work, in the winter I spend most of my time up a white powdery mountain somewhere in the world. In the summer, I dance Street/Break/Hip Hop & Funk at various studios in and around London. Music being my other passion, I love going out and about on the music scene around London spotting new bands and rocking all the summer festivals.
