Just came back from the first Front Trends conference in Warsaw. It was set up by the guys that run Frontend Force in Berlin.

It pulled in some great speakers such as Douglas Crockford, PPK and Jake Archibald. The name Front Trends suggests it might be just for Front End developers but in fact there was a nice mix of people there from UX designers to C++ guys.

Of course the topic was generally mobile and the future predictions. Interestingly, the keynote on the last day was run by PPK and he planted some interesting thoughts amoungst us all.

“JSON over SMS” he told us.

“App stores will die. People will transfer apps and only pay for the online content they transfer… through their mobile bill”
